Planned Giving

ESOL15

Leave a Legacy of Literacy.

A planned gift through your will or trust is a meaningful way to continue your commitment to Literacy well beyond your lifetime.  It sustains our fiscal strength for years to come and ensures future students can achieve the literacy skills they need to build a better future for themselves and their families.

Sample Language

Residual Gift Language
A residual bequest comes to us after your estate expenses and specific bequests are paid:

I give and devise to Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford (Tax ID #23-7237570), located in Hartford, CT, all (or state a percentage) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).
