Tutor
Most of our volunteers serve as tutors teaching small groups (4 – 6 students) in English for Speakers of Other Languages, Basic Literacy, Math, Grammar, Writing, High School Completion Preparation, U.S. Citizenship, or Career Pathways.
The time commitment is 2-2 ½ hours per week (1 class session) for at least one term but preferably for one year. Placements are available during morning, afternoon or evening hours. A minimum of a high school diploma (or GED) and the ability to read, write, and speak clear and fluent English is required for this position.

Volunteer Opportunities for Groups
LVGH hosts many corporate and community groups for short-term or day-long projects. These opportunities vary depending on our needs, your group’s availability and schedule, and the time of year.
