Chamicka

Chamicka has been taking Basic Literacy classes here at LVGH for over three years now, and she has no plans to slow down! “As long as I keep learning more, I’ll keep coming here,” Chamicka tells us.

She first found LVGH by doing a quick search online for adult literacy classes in our area. Chamicka is an avid reader, but she knew she wanted to advance her education and expand her vocabulary. “I love to read. Now, I read even more and challenge myself with my book choices,” Chamicka says. “LVGH classes have helped my confidence and my ability to express myself with different words and sayings. It’s taught me to never give up on myself.”

She’s also made great friends out of some of the staff and tutors she’s met here. “Everyone is so understanding. Everyone is willing to help you read and write, or whatever you need.” We’re very glad to have met Chamicka, too!
